When your children start to party,
they will change some drastic way.
They'll sneak around, most likely.
Be less likely to obey.
You need to note their social group.
With whom it is they hang.
Do their friends have your approval?
Are you welcome in their gang?
Have the lies become more frequent?
Is their cost of living higher?
Are the eyes direct and honest,
or avoiding, as a liar?
Do the answers jive, consistently,
to what it is they're doing?
Are they getting into trouble?
Is it regularly brewing?
Are their grades below the normal?
Is attendance going down?
Are they sillier than usual,
often acting like a clown?
Are their hearts as warm as ever,
or is distance growing fast?
Are their mannerisms changing?
Are you longing for their past?
Are they going out more often?
Are they staying out too long?
Do you get the funny feeling,
something's definitely wrong?
If the signs are getting stronger,
please, don't wait 'til it's too late.
Take action 'fore they overdose,
before it is too late.
The sooner that you get involved,
and help your kid get straight,
The better are your chances,
that you will not be too late.
There comes a point of no return.
Don't wait 'til that's your case.
It's not a pleasant problem,
but an urgent one you face.
