Thank you for taking the time to read my short book of poems, regarding the cowardly attacks that took place on our country, September 11th, 2001. This is a short history book, intent on keeping, very much alive, the memories that many of us, too quickly, had forgotten as we continue to wage war against this despicable for that had, first, declared war upon us.
Since that dreadful event, that took place on 9/11, we have rid
Afghanistan of the Taliban and brought a new freedom to the Afghani
people that they could, never, have imagined. Likewise we have freed
Iraq from the evil clutches of Saddam Hussein and his wicked regime as
we continue to fight for democracy in that dangerous region of the
world. Libya has witnessed and reacted to our actions and intentions,
and other countries are following behind them. The Bush administration
has a plan that is getting some positive results, regardless of some of
the negative problems, that one can, only, expect during a wartime
situation.
President George Bush has taken a strong stance against the culprits, guilty of the taking of thousands of innocent lives and of instilling fear in Americans as well as all other freedom-loving nations throughout the world. He has taken the battle to the enemy, so, that we do not have to battle them on our own beloved soil, only after they have inflicted more death, destruction, fear and financial upset, as they did the day of the 9/11 attacks. We have filled enough civilian body bags! It is his ambition that we do not have to fill any more.
Mr. Bush is intent on foiling the plots of these fanatic extremists before they can inflict any more harm to this great nation we live in. He is intent on the protection of all of our allies and has taken, far too much abuse, from his own fellow countrymen, particularly some of his fellow politicians!
The decisions he has been confronted with are some of the toughest that any President has ever been forced to make. We should commend him, for his bold stance against this enemy that threatens our everyday way of life. For having the courage to take the drastic measures that it is going to take to defeat this faceless, cowardly foe that has changed our nation in such a dramatic and everlasting way.
I think that we should think twice before we are so quick to condemn this honorable man in the future. I believe that we need to pray for him to be strong and resolute in the face of terror until there is no place left for it to be practiced, supported or carried out. We must win this war. There is no doubt about it. I am sorry to say it, but I am so tired of listening to all of the, so quick to judge, armchair Presidents, who are continually slandering this man of God in the midst of this nation’s greatest crisis that it has ever faced. Our world has changed and our President is doing his very best to diffuse this, seemingly inevitable bomb, before it blows up in our faces. I take great honor in proclaiming George Bush Jr. the 43rd President of our United States of America! I believe it is your patriotic duty to support this great man, who is serving our country, so far above and beyond his call of duty. I, likewise believe, that you should, sincerely, appreciate the level of excellence that he is doing it with!
My wishes are, that after you have read this book, that it leaves you with a little more of a positive and empathetic attitude regarding our President and the actions he is taking regarding this terror issue, that he goes to sleep to and wakes up to on a daily basis. How he is confident, focused and sincerely convicted to his Presidential responsibilities. I only ask that, please, if you are one of those who looks only for the negative things in people, that before you are so quick to put him down, in the future, that you try putting yourself in his, tiresome, shoes for a day or two before you are so quick to condemn him, as so many people, inappropriately, do.
If we do not stand United, behind our Commander in Chief, and begin to rehearse, being a country United, we will pay, dearly, through some unimaginable terrorist attack, mostly due to the fact that while we were attacking, criticizing and belittling our country’s leaders and representatives, publicly, for the world to hear and to see, we should have been pulling in the same direction, preparing ourselves for anything that the terrorist could throw at us. Now is, not, the time for division among the American people, election or no election. Now, is the time, to come together as a country! The events of 9/11 should make clear the evidence and urgency for a response to my statements!
Let us not show the terrorist our weaknesses and vulnerabilities by bickering amongst ourselves, but rather, let us how them the strength of “One Nation, Under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.”
