AMERICA UNDER ATTACK |
The effort to rescue impaired by the rain.
The fires flaring up there, again and again.
Emotional stress! Psychological pain!
God, help us stay strong and stand up to this strain.
An incredible evil! Despicable curse!
Problems for which we could never rehearse.
The cost, such a drain on America's purse.
What already was bad - it just keeps getting worse.
A war that it seems, could go on for a while.
Five days it has been, we're not able to smile.
The problems and anger continue to pile.
God, be with our country, each painstaking mile.
Problems so broad that it seems we can't win.
In trying to explain, not sure, where to begin.
Expecting the terror to strike, soon, again.
Our patience exhausted and wearing quite thin.
The sad part's the terror has only begun.
The war will be one, that won't prob'ly be won.
We need to find strength in our God and his son.
For it's going to get worse long before this is done.
