No More Mister Nice Guy
Like ev’ry man I’ve ever met.
Who’ve suffered long, enduring pain.
We have our share of deep regret.
To some we prob’ly seem insane.
Perhaps were just too sensitive.
To thoughtless and uncaring folk.
Seems the more we try to give,
the more these people like to joke.
Nice guys finish last, I’ve heard.
I’m sad to say, I think it’s true.
From this day on, please rest assured,
I won’t let no-one make me frown.
Trouble, I’m not looking for.
I’ll stray from it the best I can.
Less someone else should start the war.
Then God have mercy on that man.
Forty years of turning cheeks,
has made me very, very mad.
Time to show these thoughtless freaks,
a piece of me few’ve ever had.
