We Do Things Slightly Different

I have heard the word unconventional!
Left field and blown away!
Just some explanations,
of our Church, that people say!

I’ll be the first to agree with them.
We’re different, without any doubt.
Tradition and religion are,
some things, we do without.

We run our Church as Jesus would,
as if it’s, something new.
Our Pastor, ask, each move he makes,
“What would Jesus Do?”

And that is what we do here,
in our course of saving souls.
To find the Truth and Preach it.
Let that summarize our goals.

We build our Faith upon that Truth,
the Pastor has to share.
We trust the Holy Spirit,
in our times of dark despair.

We seek God’s awesome will for us.
As a team, we pull together.
Alone our loads are burdensome!
United, they seem like a feather!

You can’t please everyone all of the time.
I very wise man had once said.
There’s those who find fault, no matter what’s done,
who’ve got a screw loose in their head.

We might do things different, but we are effective.
God’s hand is controlling our growing.
Pews filling up!  Souls getting saved!
We’re reaping the seeds we are sowing!

In this day and age, you have to be different,
in order to find your success.
Faith Builders is trying to clean up a world,
that’s becoming a terrible mess.
