Do Not Give In to Temptation
The struggle between good and evil,
Is as old as the world which we live.
There are evils that tempt us each hour.
Temptations, into which we can’t give.
I know it is often, we’ll stumble.
We have to beware when we do.
Repent of the sin we’ve committed.
To learn from it, once it is thru.
Remember, it’s Satan that tempts us.
Regard that with all of your soul.
Be wise in the choices you live with.
Else he will devour you, whole.
God gave you this thing called a conscience.
To help you be wise when you choose.
What to do in the face of temptation.
How to walk in your, God given, shoes.
If you do this, one thing I assure you.
If you do what you know is correct.
You won’t have regret in your mem’ries.
No, instead you’ll have earned much respect.
Take honor in morally living.
See all of your sinning exempted.
Take pride in resisting the devil,
Each time that you feel you are tempted.
