You Set the Pace
Star is such an awkward trend.
People mold and shape and bend.
How they act might well depend.
On the message that you send.
Perhaps the reason, I lose face.
Suffer daily, grim disgrace.
Always feeling out of place.
Is half your fault. You set the pace.
People all respond to you.
Seem to share your narrow view.
Share the things you like to do.
Treat me cold and make me blue.
Maybe if you’d treat me nice.
Share some brotherly advice.
Help me feel I’d paid my price.
I might just regain my spice.
Maybe Tom and Jim and Dan,
all would follow with the plan.
You would be a better man.
Shit might never hit the fan.
Really, that’s what I believe.
That’s the message, I receive.
Think what Star could well achieve.
Think about this brother, Steve.
Attitude is everything.
Yours is most influencing.
You could make the whole place sing.
If happiness, you’d choose to bring.
