Alpha, I’ve found, is a wonderful course.
One I have went through and highly endorse.
I learned about God. Got the facts on creation.
I learned about Jesus, the Bible, salvation.
I came to be closer to God’s only son.
I learned to appreciate all he had done.
I found that my life didn’t have to be grim.
It made me desire to be more like him.
This course touched my heart, in a positive way.
It rid me of much of my moral decay.
I found a new hope and my faith grew immense.
God and his Word are now making more sense.
Others were touched, it was not only me.
The changes were big ones and easy to see.
Alpha’s objective has clearly sufficed,
in op’ning our eyes and our hearts up to Christ.
The course made a diff’rence to those who went thru it.
At first some were hesitant. Soon they outgrew it.
Each night there were lectures to get us inspired.
Lori was excellent. Don made us tired.
Seemed only fair that I take a few pokes,
at Don, since we had to put up with his jokes.
That’s something else great that this Alpha has done.
It drew us to God yet it always was fun.
I’ll miss our small group and its wholesome discussions.
I’m still riding high on its warm repercussions.
I’m sad that’s it’s over, yet glad that it’s been.
I liked it so much, I would do it again.
To everyone here who was part of our group.
I’m glad I was part of our Alpha-bet soup.
I’m thankful for all the good friends I have made.
I’m glad that I came and I’m glad that I stayed.
My thanks go to God, to this course and its teaching.
To God’s sacred Word and the people it’s reaching.
My course is complete. It is nice to have passed.
I pray that the next one’s as good as the last.
