SPIRITUAL FOOD FOR THOUGHT

He Took It All to the Cross

All of the sins that I had committed.
The pains I’d inflicted as well.
The lies and the crimes, to my Lord, I’d admitted,
Whose punishment meant going to Hell.

All of my lust and all of my anger.
Account for my life and its loss.
Instead, with a tree, that they used as his hanger.
Christ took all my sin to the cross.

Foul language, self pleasure, disgusting behavior.
The hatred I’d carried for years.
Were hung on the cross, to die with my savior.
To free me from all of my fears.

The old me was gone!  Condemned to damnation.
He made me to be totally new.
Thru grace  he had gave me his gift of Salvation.
Out of love—this he came here to do.

If you are in need of being forgivin’,
ask Jesus to enter your heart.
It’s he that will change how you it is you are livin’.
He will give you a new, righteous start.

You sin he will take off your weakening shoulder.
Your slate will take on a new gloss.
Your redemption will go into Christ’s gracing folder.
For he paid for your sins on that cross.
