It’s easy to judge when another’s at fault.
So simple unleashing your verbal assault.
As if you don’t have any faults of your own.
If that is the case, may you cast the first stone.
Your finger points, always, at things people do.
When, really, it ought to be pointing at you.
You’re far from perfection. You’re hardly a Saint.
You really should look at the picture you paint.
Notice the plank that protrudes from your eye.
The splinter in mine doesn’t even apply.
To err is quite human. Forgiving’s divine.
Look at your own faults and quit sorting mine.
“Hypocrite” prob’ly describes you the best.
Living with sin you have never confessed.
So quick to condemn what you don’t understand.
Frowning on those who don’t meet your demand.
So many fond friendships that you could have had.
Instead you decided to look for the bad.
If only you’d focus on folks and their good.
Perhaps their few faults would be more understood.
If maybe you’d paid just a few of their dues,
or walked for a mile or two in their shoes.
Maybe you’d find where their problems were stemming.
Be sympathetic instead of condemning.
We all are God’s children. He loves us, each one.
Despite all the foolish and bad things we’ve done.
He’s quite understanding. He’s loving, forgiving.
He is the one who will judge how we’re living.
He will return all the mercy you’d shown.
It’s time to come down from your self-righteous throne.
There’s too many people, you’ve merc’lessly tried.
God will cast judgement. You’re not qualified.
Unless you are perfect, abstain from your way.
Be rid of your arrogant, judging decay.
If still you desire to hold some harsh grudge.
Then look in the mirror. That’s who you should judge.
