Life seems to be a struggle, one that has no end in sight.
Sometimes we feel like giving up. It isn’t worth the fight.
It is one thing or another. The frustration knows no ends.
Thank God for all our families. For all our special friends!
The kids can drive us up the walls, and make us feel insane.
Too often there’s one person, who can cause us so much pain.
There’s work and all its pressures, making life so very tough.
The money that we earn each week, is never quite enough.
The bills come never-ending, only add to our concern.
So often, when you total them, they’re more than we did earn.
And then there’s all those household chores. What is one to do?
No matter how you tackle them, those chores are never thru.
Of course we have desires, that it seems, we don’t fulfill.
Seems we’re always trudging up the steep side of the hill.
The pains outweighs the pleasures. As we age it just gets tougher.
You’d think the roads we travel would get smoother, stead of rougher.
Which brings me the conclusion. We must give this life our best.
God has a special plan for us. We first must pass this test.
Our problems make us stronger, if we let them, in the end.
They’ll lead us to the Savior that the Father chose to send.
There’s a reason for this madness, that we live with day to day.
Perhaps it’s how God reaches us, and forces us to pray.
This test that he has gave us, though not clearly understood.
Is to make us better Christians. It is for our own, darn good.
