Death was the wage to be paid for our sin.
What a hopeless and terrible mess we were in.
Here was a debt we could never repay.
Then God sent his son, who provided the way.
He gave us a hope and erased what we feared.
He gave up his life that our debt would be cleared.
He died on the cross and he set our sins free.
His life was his off’ring, for you and for me.
He gave us so much! He continues to give.
He set an example on how we should live.
He gave from his heart for he loved the world so.
He would give, all he had, everywhere he would go.
He gave up his life so that we could each live.
And now, out of love, it is our turn to give.
Time to give back with a generous heart.
To further his kingdom and do our small part.
