I have started on a journey, with a long, tough road
ahead.
God gave, to me, a mission. That his hungry souls be fed.
I’ve been called to start an outreach to the hurting and the lost.
I intend to do it, boldly! To the end! At any cost!
It evolves around my writing and the message I express.
It is focused on the problems and the issues I address.
All the people who’re affected, who aren’t sure, just how to cope.
My job, to go and find them, and to offer them some hope.
Whom I going after? Let me try to keep it brief.
I’m seeking those in agony! Those knowing, only, grief.
I’m reaching to the lonely! The addicted! The divorced!
The empty and the angry. The misled and the remorsed.
The kids who need a mentor, or some brotherly advice.
Anyone who doesn’t know the name of Jesus Christ.
I’m even seeking Christians, in my quest against our rival.
To get a fire going! To experience revival!
How am I going to do this? I am glad that you should ask!
God gave to me a vision, how to carry out this task.
I take the words he gives to me! I put them in a book!
I give them to those needing them, with hopes they’ll take a look.
The messages speak soft to them. Some things they’ve never heard.
I share my love for Jesus and the meaning of his Word.
I tell them of the struggles he had overcome in me.
I tell them of his life and how his truth had set me free.
My words, they can relate to, for I’ve been where they have been.
My feelings they will share with me, quite often and again.
They, soon, begin relating me, to what they’re going thru.
The seed of Christ is planted as is what they need to do.
I have to get my words out. I can reach these souls, I know.
My outreach has much power, if I, just, can make it go.
My mission is a clear one! Christ has gave me his command!
It’s up to me, to make it go, as Jesus, clearly, planned.
