Spiritual people assemble for worship,
cause God had commanded us to.
Hebrews 10:25 makes it vividly clear.
Assembling is what we should do.
If we are as we say, a spiritual people.
Assembling will happen regardless.
If God tells us whether or not the need be.
We’d do it just out of good heart-ness.
It’s worshipping as a big family.
As a congregation praising in whole.
It’s good for the empty that loneliness knows.
It fills up our heart and our soul.
For God is the reason we hunger.
To know him and learn of his son.
To try to grasp some understanding,
of the things, out of love, that he’d done.
Bill Paxton gets credit for this poem.
It was his message I rhymingly quoted.
He gave some good reasons to assemble.
Here’s the ones that he gave, which I’d noted.
To find some true, Godly inspiration.
To find challenge and learn just as well.
To praise and say thanks to the Father.
For giving us freedom from Hell.
Here we find strong conviction that builds us.
Plus our sins are erased and forgave.
We act the way, I’m sure that the Father,
would have us, to always behave.
The fellowship is solemn and noble.
I give thanks for each woman and man.
Who are all part of God’s grand finale,
as we follow his unfolding plan.
Most important, each time that we gather.
As we see the results of our fishin’.
It reminds us that God has a plan for each one.
Here we learn of and start on our mission.
It’s important we all get together,
as brothers and sisters for Christ.
That we always bring more to the family
as the Father, so clearly advised.
