DEALING WITH ADDICTION |
There is not one single city, unaffected by addiction.
The problem is enormous. There can be no contradiction.
I woke up to this problem, and I wrote this book of rhyme.
The country needs to wake up too. I do believe it's time.
If you do not agree with me, then you have not a clue.
This problem's getting worse and worse. By no means is it new.
So many people, seems to me, can't comprehend this curse.
We have to wake up people, 'cause this problem's getting
worse.
We can't deny it any more. It's causing too much harm.
This message, I'm intending, is to cause you great alarm.
With terrorist extremists, who're intent to see us hurting,
We have to get our heads on clear. Our country needs alerting.
'Cause they play on our addictions as we fund their terror plan.
They get to us with opiates and any way they can.
Addiction is one weakness, that we have, where they are reaping.
With clouded minds and craving souls, they get us while we're
sleeping.
Most know there is a problem, though I don't think, how
extreme,
Nor do they see the magnitude of what we've to redeem.
This problem has effects on you, which you are not aware.
It's time to make a difference. It is time to truly care.
So wake up to its effect on you. Wake up to lives it's
taking.
Wake up to children going astray. Wake up to families breaking.
Wake up to all the filthy crime, to drugs, that are related.
Wake up and make a difference toward this problem we've
created.
