I found that most the druggies
I have ever come across,
Don't have no other habits
Since their drugs became their boss.
Their lives were lacking interest
For things they liked to do.
Each time that they would quit their drugs,
They'd never see it through.
That's why you need some hobbies
That will fill your open time.
Amazing how you filled your days,
While living with your crime.
Your going to have a lot of time,
Once your party's ended;
You're going to lose the people
That, for years, you had befriended.
But that's O.K. There's lots to do;
A whole new life's in store.
You live in a big world
With new adventures to explore.
Try doing things you'd never dreamed.
See where your talents lie.
You'll be surprised how fun life is,
Once you get out and try.
Don't sit around and whine and mope.
That will not help a bit.
Joy isn't going to come to you,
So you must go for it.
If you're to be successful
In your efforts to get clean,
You need to find new things to do,
See things you have not seen.
Else boredom overtakes you,
And it will not be too long,
That you'll return to using.
You need hobbies to stay strong.
Just get yourself so busy
that you have no time to party.
Go live yourself a happy life,
Exciting, fun and hearty!
