Make the Right Decision

I don't know where you stand on drugs.
Let's hope you never tried.
Perhaps your friends may pressure you,
and you cannot decide.

You've maybe even tried them out
and finding they are fun.
Or maybe plain addicted
wishing you had not begun.

Maybe you're a family member,
drastic'ly affected.
Maybe you're a boss or friend,
emotion'ly connected.

Whatever situation that
you find you might be in,
I hope I might relate to you,
the horrors of the sin.

I hope that you might learn from
all my years of pain and strife.
Better you should learn from me,
than likewise lose your life.

Please read the message carefully,
that's written in these pages.
See if you fit in somewhere,
along addiction's stages.

I hope this don't pertain to you.
If so, I hope you find
Thoughts you can relate to.
Maybe find some peace of mind.

Perhaps some understanding,
of this illness and and its curse.
That it might bring some healing
'fore the sickness gets much worse.
